JUSTIFICATION By Marilyn Habecker Artists: Frances H. Hertzler
Lesson 1: GOD, THE RIGHTEOUS ONE, JUSTIFIES - God condemns sinners; God is righteous-absolutely just; Jesus Christ took the punishment for sin; God declares believers righteous (justified)
Lesson 2: ABRAHAM JUSTIFIED BY FAITH- Those who have trusted in Christ are in the family of God; Abraham trusted God; God declares Abraham righteous; Because Christ rose from the dead, those who trust in Him are justified.
Lesson 3: HOW GOD JUSTIFIES (IMPUTATION)- The sin of Adam is imputed to all who have been born since Adam; Onesimus, a slave, sins; Onesimus turns to Christ and returns to his master; Because sin was imputed to Christ, the righteousness of God is imputed to all who trust in Christ.
Lesson 4: THE RESULTS OF JUSTIFICATION- Those who believe in Jesus are declared righteous; Those who are justified have peace with God and can pray to God; Those who are justified receive a home in heaven, the love of God, and the Holy Spirit; Justified believers have eternal life.
