Penny and the Christmas Star By Helen Frazee-Bower How Turea Kept Christmas By Patricia M. St. John Visualized Stories
Penny and the Christmas Star - Christmas is the perfect time to encourage your children to give themselves to the Lord. Here is a story that will help them to understand the true meaning of DEDICATION. Like Penny, they will learn from the wise men that the King desires the love of their hearts, their prayers, and their obedience. An interesting object lesson makes a double impact.
How Turea Kept Christmas - Patricia M. St. John has written several "above average" stories. This is one of them drawn from her own experience in Morocco where she has been a missionary for many years. Turea of the story turns her back on Mohammed to serve the living and true God. The price she must pay for WITNESSING, makes a lasting impression upon children.
This splendid story can be told in two or more chapters. The first part would include the telling of the Christmas lesson, in connection with flashcard #7. The last half would include the teaching of the memory verses. We strongly urge that you use the visualized hymn "Once in Royal David's City" when you teach this lesson. Turea, in the story, sings that third stanza of that delightful Christmas carol. |
