When she finally despaired of ever finding such a book, she sat down with simple determination to write one.

Many years later, after some revision to make the volume easier to handle and update archaeological discoveries, this new edition preserves Vos' style and remains faithful to the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God. Bible text, where directly quoted, is the King James Version.
